Vision
Our vision is to follow through with the best possible care and
rehabilitation program for Sujit Kumar; and to care in the best
possible way for at-risk boys by giving them back their right to
live in a safe, nurturing environment, while enabling for the most
appropriate educational tools in the hopes of making a positive,
lasting impact on them.
Mission Statement
The Mission of Sujit’s Happy Home Trust is to provide the
finances for the care and rehabilitation of Sujit Kumar and the
operational costs of a home for Sujit Kumar as part of his care and
rehabilitation; as well as a home for boys between the ages of 8-17
years, in Fiji, who are at-risk of being subject (or are subject)
to violence, abuse, exploitation, injustice or conflict in their
current living situations by their parents or other caretakers.
The Trust aims to protect Sujit Kumar and these children by
providing them with a loving, safe and nurturing home environment,
while also ensuring that they are attending school and receiving a
proper education. Our goal is to encourage self-sufficiency and
help the children become positive contributors to the
community.
At all times, resources permitting, The Trust aims to meet the
Minimum Standards set down by the Social Welfare Department of the
Fiji Government in terms of tenure, compliance, admissions &
discharges, Care arrangements, security of the premises, staffing
& programmes and reporting systems.
